CLEARANCE DATE: 3rd September 2012
PROPERTY LOCATION: Farm Hill Road, Waltham Abbey, Essex, EN9
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full house clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: 4-bedroom house
Clearance Requirements
Our client asked us to completely clear this large detached house on Farm Hill Road in Waltham Abbey, EN9. He had inherited the property from his father and wanted to let it out to tenants, but he wanted to let it as a non-furnished property. He had already removed all of the personal effects that he wanted to keep, and he asked us to clear everything else. He was also planning to renovate the property and so requested that we remove the carpets, curtains and white goods along with the gas cooker.
Clearance Overview
This property was located in a pleasant, peaceful area of Waltham Abbey, and it also had a large driveway so we were able to park our vehicles with ease. We arrived very early at 6am and got to work immediately with a team of four. We removed all of the furniture, most of which was of a modern and stylish design, and we separated these to be sold so that we could offset some of the cost of the clearance. We then removed all of the remaining furniture and effects from the property, and a Gas Safe registered engineer arrived during the afternoon to disconnect the gas cooker. We finished the job at 5.00pm and the client came to inspect the property.
Disposal of Contents
Apart from the items that we sold to offset the cost of the clearance, we sent some of the furniture to local charity shops to prevent them from being wasted. It is our policy to reuse as much of the contents as we can. We also managed to recycle nearly everything that could not be reused, so only a very small portion of rubbish had to be sent to landfill.
Client Comments
The client inspected the property at the end of the day and said that we had done a “great job”. He was also really pleased that we could sell some of the furniture to offset the cost of the clearance.
