Clearance Requirements
Trinity Rise is located in Tulse Hill, London, SW2, and we were called by
an estate agent to clear a large terraced house on the street. The owner of
the building had decided that he wanted to let out the property, but first
a lot of old effects and general household clutter that had accumulated
over the years had to be removed, including some larger items of furniture.
We were also asked to give the property a professional clean so that it
would be easier to attract tenants.
Clearance Overview
We were able to park our vehicles on the street right outside the house,
and as soon as we had prepared the plywood protection for the front door we
began to remove the contents immediately.
We started in the living room, removing smaller items such as clothing,
books, boxes and general accumulated clutter. There was also a small sofa
and two chairs, as well as a TV and stand, a DVD player and lots of old
DVDs.
We removed all of the white goods from the kitchen and cleared out all of
the cupboards. There were also some broken bowls and fragments of glass so
we had to be careful.
We finished removing everything from the property at 4.00pm, and we then
cleaned the property throughout using specialised cleaning equipment so
that we could leave it in excellent condition.
Disposal of Contents
Despite most of the contents consisting of clutter and old personal
effects, we were still able to donate a large proportion of the goods
removed to a local jumble sale being run by an organisation for homeless
people operating in the area. We also recycled a large quantity of paper,
cardboard and glass, reducing the need to send anything to landfill.
