As many of our clients have never dealt with probate or used a house clearance company before, we found that it was helpful to outline a house clearance in Basildon previously conducted. This gives new clients some understanding of the clearance process and pricing. If you have any probate requirements or you are looking to clear a property in Basildon or surrounding areas then for a free quote and advice without obligation, you can call our Essex Office on 01245 209 123. CLEARANCE DATE: 29th August 2012
PROPERTY LOCATION: Southchurch Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full house clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: 3-bedroom terraced house
Clearance Requirements
Our client requested that we clear this large terraced house on Southchurch Road in Southend-on-Sea, SS1, which had belonged to his mother before she died. As the executor of her will he commissioned us to clear the property completely, but to leave the white goods in the kitchen. He also wanted to leave the curtains and the carpets because he planned to move into the property himself.
Clearance Overview
The client informed us that there was no off-street parking available and there were double-yellow lines outside the property. We therefore applied to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council for a parking permit, which was granted. The clearance consisted mainly of furniture, although there were a number of personal effects to remove including kitchen utensils, clothing and books. While clearing the bedroom we came across what appeared to be an old diary that we handed to the client and he was very grateful that we did not throw it away. Because this was a straightforward clearance we finished the job by 1.30pm.
Disposal of Contents
We removed all of the contents of the property in a closed unmarked van as requested by the client. The furniture was all in a good condition so we donated everything to nearby charities and organisations, including a local youth centre. The book collection was also donated to a charity bookshop. Everything that could not be reused was sent to our recycling centre.
Client Comments
The client was very pleased with the speed and standard of the clearance, saying that he was “100% satisfied” with the job. He was especially pleased about the diary that we found.
