Clearance Requirements
Our client for this large semi-detached property on Essex Way in South Benfleet, Essex, SS7, was the executor of the estate. We were asked to clear and clean the property, removing everything that we came across right down to the carpets and curtains. Because there was a gas cooker to remove we were also asked to arrange for this to be disconnected by a Gas Safe engineer. There was also some rubbish in the garden to be cleared.
Clearance Overview
Our team of five arrived at the property at 8am and we parked our vans in the large driveway. After carrying out an assessment of the work we started to clear the house. We removed all of the furniture and household effects from within the property, followed by the rubbish from the garden, loading everything into our vans and separating it for reusing or recycling as we went. The Gas Safe engineer arrived to disconnect the gas cooker, and we removed all of the white goods from the kitchen. After removing the carpets and underlay, we cleaned the property from top to bottom so that it was left in excellent condition, and then we handed over the keys to our client.
Disposal of Contents
Much of the furniture was in a good condition to be reused, so we donated these to various charities in the South Benfleet area. A few items had to be sent to our recycling centre, but no more than a few bags of contents were sent to landfill making this a very satisfactory job all round.
