CLEARANCE DATE: 2nd November 2024
PROPERTY LOCATION: Haberdasher Street, Shoreditch, London, N1
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full flat clearance and clean
PROPERTY TYPE: 3-bedroom flat
Clearance Requirements
This clearance consisted of removing all of the furniture and effects from an upstairs flat on Haberdasher Street in Shoreditch, N1. Our client was the new owner of the flat, having bought it from a relative, but it had not been cleared before he had purchased it and now he needed to arrange the clearance. He asked us to remove everything from the flat, including the carpets, furniture and white goods, and to clean it throughout at the end of the clearance.
Clearance Overview
Parking was available on the street outside the flat, and it was a quiet road so we did not have to worry too much about disturbing the other road users. We got to work immediately after we had arrived, at just after 8.00am, and within less than an hour we had already cleared out half the living room. Some of the larger items slowed our progress because we had to carry them down the stairs, which took a few members of the team to do safely. The fridge was particularly large, and we also had to be very careful with the wardrobe from one of the bedrooms. Once the entire flat had been cleared, we removed the carpet and underlay. We then cleaned throughout the property using industrial cleaning equipment to make sure that it was absolutely spotless before we left.
Disposal of Contents
Many of the items that we removed from the property were reusable, so we made sure that we found new homes for these rather than throwing them away. Two charities and a local hospice were happy to accept the donations so we managed to minimise waste this way. We also managed to recycle most of the items that we could not reuse, and we only ended up sending a very small amount of waste to landfill.
Client Comments
At the end of the clearance our client checked over the property and said that he was very satisfied with the standard of our work.
