Clearance Overview
The owner of this two-bedroom house wanted to sell it but needed our help first. It had been left in a very bad condition because he had allowed items to accumulate over many years and he had not got around to throwing them away or organising them. Items filled the house both upstairs and downstairs, and there were a few items in the garden as well which needed dealing with.
Clearance Requirements
The job was to clear everything and to remove any carpets which had become too soiled. The owner also asked us to keep an eye out for anything of value. Following the clearance he wanted us to carry out a deep clean of the property so that it would be in appropriate condition to sell.
Disposal of Contents
We found a number of items of value during the clearance including a pair of silver candle sticks, a china tea set from the 1950s and three paintings, the value of which was used to offset the cost of the house clearance. All of the other items were either sent to landfill or to our recycling centre, with a good amount sent to a local Oxted based charity.
