CLEARANCE DATE: 20th September 2012

PROPERTY LOCATION: Mandeville Road, Northolt, London, UB5

CLEARANCE TYPE: Full house clearance and deep clean

PROPERTY TYPE: 4-Bedroom-House

Clearance Requirements

Our client for this semi-detached property on Mandeville Road in Northolt, London, UB5, was a firm of solicitors who we had worked with before on numerous occasions. They contacted us to say that they were winding up the estate on behalf of the owner, and required the house to be completely stripped of its contents including furniture, carpets, curtains and white goods. They also asked us to isolate the electricity supply following the clearance and to clean the property throughout.

Clearance Overview

There was on-street parking available just outside the property, and after we had parked up our vans we met one of the solicitors and then began work on the clearance. There were many items of furniture and personal effects to remove, and most of these were still in a very good condition so we separated some for resale to offset the cost of the clearance.

In the kitchen we removed the white goods, but we could not remove the gas cooker until it had been disconnected by a Gas Safe engineer who arrived at 11am. We cleared all of the bedrooms and the remaining rooms, and when all the furniture and general contents had been removed, we removed the carpets and underlay from throughout the property. We then cleaned the entire house, which took a few hours to complete, and following this we isolated the electricity supply before handing the keys back to the solicitor just before 7pm.

Disposal of Contents

In this case, some of the furniture and goods were in good condition, and we were able to offset their value against the cost of the clearance. Only a very small proportion of the contents were re-cycled.

Our dedicated gardening team took care of the garden and disposed of the waste and much of it was placed in compost bins, although some of it was taken to the local council’s recycling centre and placed with the green waste material

Client Comments

The solicitor was very happy with the standard of the clearance once again, and confirmed that he would be calling us again as soon as another house clearance was required.
