Clearance Requirements
Our client for this clearance was the owner of a terraced three-bedroom house on Tewkesbury Terrace in New Southgate, N11. He had been letting out the property for over a decade to a number of families, but the last family had left under difficult circumstances and unfortunately the property had not been left in great condition.
He asked us to clear all of the furniture and effects from the property, apart from the white goods in the kitchen, so that he could find new tenants as soon as possible.
Clearance Overview
There was a driveway outside the house so we were able to park our vans with ease. After meeting the client and carrying out a quick appraisal, we got to work on the clearance. There were many items of furniture to remove, and we made our way through the hallway, living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms clearing everything as we went.
There was a lot of general clutter that had built up over time, which the previous occupants had not cleared, so we filled up boxes and bags with all of the things we found and removed these to the vans outside.
Overall it was a fairly standard clearance for us. Despite the large amount of contents, this is something that we deal with on a daily basis, so we were able to work quickly and finish the clearance by 4pm.
Disposal of Contents
Anything that could be reused was donated to two local charities that we have used for previous clearances, and everything else that was not suitable for reusing was taken to our recycling centre. There were no items that we could sell to offset the cost of the clearance in this case.
