CLEARANCE DATE: 10th August 2012
PROPERTY LOCATION: London Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full flat clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: 3-bedroom flat
Clearance Requirements
We were asked by a local estate agent in Leigh-on-Sea, SS9, to clear this third-floor flat on London Road, which is in a central area of the town. It was located in a large block of flats, and the owner, who we did not meet, wanted to renovate the property. As a result, we were asked to completely remove all of the furniture and effects from the flat, which had three bedrooms. This included removing the washing machine and leaving the plumbing secure, which is a service we provide free of charge.
Clearance Overview
Despite being on the third floor, this flat clearance was quite straightforward. Parking was available outside the building, so the only issue was carrying the items down the stairs. However, we are experienced at clearing flats on higher floors than this one, so it was not a problem at all. We removed all of the furniture, most of which was in good condition, along with the general household effects. We then removed the carpets and curtains, and we also removed the white goods from the kitchen. We did not clean the property following the clearance because the owner wanted to renovate it so it was not necessary.
Disposal of Contents
Due to the high quality of most of the modern furniture, we were able to sell it through our retail outlet to offset the cost of the property clearance. Nothing was sent to landfill, and only a small amount of the contents were recycled, including cardboard boxes, plastic bottles and newspapers.
Client Comments
Although we did not meet the owner of the flat, the estate agent visited the property following the clearance and gave us the all clear. He was very pleased with the quality of our work, and we were hired by the same estate agent a week later for another clearance in the local area.
