Clearance Overview
This terraced house on Salisbury Road did not have any yellow lines outside so there was space to park on the street. However, we decided to arrive at 9.30am to avoid the rush hour traffic in the centre of Hungerford. The owner had experienced some problems with his previous tenants and had been forced to evict them. However, they had not gone quietly and had broken a number of items in the property and left the place in a mess with stains all over the carpets. The owner had already removed what he could salvage, and wanted us to completely clear the damaged furniture and effects that had been left behind.
Clearance Requirements
We turned up the day and as soon as we arrived we could see that he had not been exaggerating. The place had been turned upside down. It was a real shame because some of the furniture could have been reused but sadly had been damaged beyond repair. We got to work and removed everything that we found. We took down the curtains because some of them had been torn, but the white goods in the kitchen were still working so we left these. There was smashed glass and crockery throughout the house so we had to be very careful when moving around and lifting items. Upstairs, the carpets were still usable, but downstairs they had to be removed completely. Once all of the items had been removed, we carried out a deep clean of the house. After the cleaning process the house looked great and in a good enough condition to be redecorated enabling that the client could let it out once again.
Disposal of Contents
All of the contents were separated for recycling and those that had to be sent to landfill. Nothing was in a suitable condition to be reused, but luckily most of the items could be sent to our recycling centre, so only a little went to land fill.

The owner was very happy with the clearance and the deep clean and is now planning to redecorate the property. He was especially pleased that we could arrive the very next day so that he does not have to waste too much time before he can find new tenants.
