Clearance Requirements
We were hired to clear this semi-detached three-bedroom house on Colchester Road in Halstead, CO9, by a firm of solicitors on behalf of the client. They informed us that there are a number of antiques inside the property that we could sell to offset the cost of the clearance. We were asked to clear absolutely everything in the property, including the white goods in the kitchen and the carpets and underlay.
Clearance Overview
Our team arrived at 8.30am and began to clear the furniture and effects immediately. Off-street parking available for our vehicles, so access was not a problem. We looked through the antique furniture and there were a few items of interest so we separated these to be sold. The remaining furniture we separated to be donated to charity. We removed all of the white goods from the kitchen and then removed the carpet and underlay as requested. When the property was completely empty we gave it a quick clean to leave it tidy and in a good condition.
Disposal of Contents
We donated the furniture that we did not want to sell to some local charities, along with a large collection of books. Everything else was removed and either separated for reusing or recycling. A very small amount of contents (less than 5% of the total) was sent to landfill.

The solicitor who hired us returned to the property at the end of the day and confirmed that he was happy with the job. He later contacted us again to say that he had sent a photo of the property to the owner who was also very pleased with the standard of work.
