Clearance Overview
We were instructed to clear a 2-bedroom house on the outskirts of Farnham town centre. The property was formerly rented-out to students and our Client had asked us to remove all of the furniture, White goods in the kitchen, plus strip-out all of the old carpets. On completion of the clearance, we were also instructed to clean the property ready for the property to be re-let once new carpets had been laid.
Clearance Requirements
There where no issues with removing any of the items from the property. The only issue encountered was the fact that the property had no off-street parking and there where Yellow lines on the road immediately outside the property. We contacted Waverley Borough Council in advance to make them aware our vehicle would be there and they gave their consent for us to park.
The Client had already arranged for disconnection of the gas cooker which must be completed by a registered Gas Safe Engineer as this is a legal requirement. Our staff disconnected the plumbing for the washing machine which is part of our service and does not attract any additional charge.
Disposal of Contents
We had contacted a number of Farnham charities before hand to see if any of them would be interested in taking any of the property contents for their shops. As most of the property content was in poor to average condition, it was concluded that unfortunately none of the property content was suitable as charitable donations so it was all returned to our recycling centre.
