Clearance Overview
This four-bedroom house had been long neglected and had been badly affected by vandalism over the years. The property was no longer secured so part of the job was to secure the entire property following the clearance.
However, the only area that required extensive clearing was the ground floor because the first floor had very few items.
Clearance Requirements
The new owner of the property was more concerned about the securing of the property, but seeing as he had to get it cleared anyway he asked us to carry out both jobs together. The clearance did not take a long time, although there were a number of heavy items to clear including an oak table.
Once we had cleared everything from the property and separated the items we set about securing all of the doors and windows. This took a few hours to complete, but by the end of the day the house was fully secured and the owner could relax in the knowledge that it was not going to be such an easy target for thieves or squatters.
Disposal of Contents
The large table and some of the other larger items were still in a good enough condition to be sent to some local Esher charities. We have donated items to many charities throughout Surrey before so it was no problem finding a few to show the items to. All of the other items were separated for either recycling or waste as is our standard practice.
