CLEARANCE DATE: 20th August 2012
PROPERTY LOCATION: Parsonage Lane Enfield EN2
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full House And Garden Clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: 3 bedroom terraced house with front and rear garden
Clearance Requirements
We were instructed by our client, who lives overseas, to clear the contents of a 3 bedroom terraced house in Parsonage Lane, Enfield, Middlesex. The executor of the former occupant lived abroad and wished to sell the property. We carried out a probate valuation and assisted with the auctioning of most of the items of value, and were requested to clear residual contents, and, as the property had been unoccupied for some time, we were also requested to tidy the front garden, which had been used as a dump, and was full of old car tyres, broken TV sets, etc, and also to cut back and restore the back garden.
Clearance Overview
Parsonage Lane is a wide road, in a leafy suburban part of Enfield, and we had no difficulty bringing our vehicles directly to the property and parking directly outside. We arrived at 7 a.m and immediately started work. We used cardboard and chipboard to protect the property entrance and then started to remove the contents, which consisted mainly of modern furniture, and household effects. We then cut back the garden, leaving it looking neat and tidy, and removed a considerable amount of rubbish from the front. We then cleaned the property, hoovered the carpets and left it clean and tidy and ready to be viewed by prospective purchasers. We delivered the keys to the client’s estate agent at 4p.m
Disposal of Contents
Much of the contents were in very good condition and we were able to arrange for the furniture to be donated to local charity shops, along with much of the rest of the contents. The rubbish in the front garden was taken to a licenced local authority facility, with the exception of the tyres, which were taken to a specialised waste company, for recycling. Only a small proportion of the contents were not re-used or recycled.
Our dedicated gardening team took care of the garden and disposed of the waste and much of it was placed in compost bins, although some of it was taken to the local council’s recycling centre and placed with the green waste material
Client Comments
The client’s estate agent examined the property and declared that it was very clean, tidy and ready for viewings. He was amazed by the job we did on the garden, which was restored to its former condition. Our client thanked us for making it so easy for him to arrange the clearance without having to be in the UK.
