Clearance Overview
We clear anything from one-room apartments to large detached houses, so although this property was quite large it was well within our capabilities. The property had a large garden and a driveway which made access very easy and kept any inconvenience to passers by to a minimum. We put aside a whole day to carry out the clearance, and finished the job in 10 hours.
Clearance Requirements
The main requirement of this clearance was firstly to empty the property and secondly to keep an eye out for any valuable items within the contents. The owner was a family member of the previous occupant and she knew that there were a few things hidden away that were quite valuable and were to be located before anything was sent for recycling or removed in the house clearance.
After the initial clearance, we were also asked to carry out a quick clean of the property, not a deep clean, just enough that it looked tidy and in fairly good condition.
The owner was concerned about privacy and wanted to keep the items that we were removing hidden, but because we use closed vehicles this was never going to be a problem.
Disposal of Contents
We managed to find a number of the objects that the owner was looking for, but she asked us not to mention what they are. We handed these back to her as we always do in such situations, but in addition to the objects she was looking for there was one other which she did not know was in the property so she was very happy when we presented this to her. Along with the items we also found some important documents and old photographs, and the rest of the items were sent for recycling.
