Clearance Overview
This semi-detached house in Earlswood had three bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living room and hallway which needed clearing. The job was an average size job, and the driveway was large enough for our vehicles which made this a very straightforward job. We usually value house contents for probate prior to carrying out a property clearance, but in this case a probate valuation was not required.
Clearance Requirements
The requirements for this property were simply to clear all of the rooms in the property. The only challenging part of the clearance was the large attic which had a lot of items inside, and these could only be removed using a ladder. However, we have cleared many lofts in the past so we have great experience of such situations and it was this was not a problem.
The owner also stated that the house was occupied by a smoker and was heavily soiled and asked us to carry out deep clean following the clearance so that the house would be ready to decorate.
Disposal of Contents
We managed to clear the entire house by 6pm, and following that we carried out the deep clean which took a few more hours, eventually finishing the work at 10pm. All of the items were separated for recycling or waste, and a few items of furniture were still in a good condition so we donated them to a local Redhill charity.
