CLEARANCE DATE: 30th July 2024

PROPERTY LOCATION: Chestnut Drive, Windsor, Berkshire SL4

CLEARANCE TYPE: Full house clearance and garden clearance

PROPERTY TYPE: 4-bedroom house

Clearance Overview

This was a large detached house which had until recently been occupied by a large family. Both the property and the large back garden required clearing. The house was furnished well from top to bottom with each room containing a considerable amount of furniture and effects. The garden was well maintained but had a scattering of old garden furniture toys a portable swimming pool and some shed contents

Clearance Requirements

We were instructed to completely clear the house of all furniture personal effects clothing electrical appliances and general clutter. The garden was to be cleared of all unwanted items and left clean and tidy. The shed contents were to be removed and we were asked to recycle as much of the contents as possible. An allowance was to be made for any resalable items, otherwise all other material was to disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. The expressed that he would like to think that some of the contents went to a charity of our choice. Finally we were asked to give th house a good spring clean ready for marketing.

Disposal of Contents

We removed everything from the property and the garden within the day including the shed and garden. A good amount of bric-a-brac was given to charity and the remaining contents with value was taken to our warehouse for resale. About 20% of the material removed was sent to landfill and both the client and our staff felt happy that we landfilled only a small percentage.

Client Comments

The client was extremely pleased with the clearance and took an active part by helping us clear the kitchen. He told us how hard it was to watch us do the work and felt much better by joining in rather than just watching. The frequent cups of tea were most appreciated by all concerned.
