House Clearance Of A Property In Guildford Surrey GU9 Of Former MI6 Intelligence Officer
Our client called us to view this 3 bedroom apartment in Guildford situated on the top floor of a private block and quote for its clearance. MI6 personnel had previously visited the property to remove any delicate information and sensitive documents that might have been present. And we were requested to quote for the complete clearance of all furniture and effects.
Antiques And Collectables
There were a number of good quality pieces of antique furniture including two georgian chests a victorian barometer, a dressing mirror, an inlaid tea caddy, various crystal glass and decanters as well as an ormolu clock and many more lesser collectables. There was a considerable amount of solid silver but as this was flatware it was only worth its weight as scrap value.
Modern Furniture And Effects
Apart from the antiques and collectables there were a few good quality pieces of modern furniture and an almost new fridge freezer. Many items of cutlery and kitchenalia which were all worthy of charity donation, some even having a resale value.
The House Clearance
In this case the value of the house contents far exceeded the labour costs for the work needed to clear the property so we paid our client the difference. We started the clearance bright and early at 7am and quietly packed the better items and not disturbing the neighbours. At 9 am we started removing he contents to our vehicles and by 5pm we had completed the clearance and after hoovering the rooms all through we packed the truck and made our way back to our premises.
