Our client Mr Powell had called us before Christmas regarding a house he needed to clear in Essex and we had agreed a price to remove the remaining contents of his mothers home, and also dismantle and remove a heavy stair lift. Mr Powell;s family had taken a small amount of furniture for use in their own homes and for the children, which is always a good thing from our point of view as we like to see things re-used. And although the remainder had no real value we were still able to find a new home for it via our charity network.

I have personally taken out over 30 stair-lifts and this particular one was very simple and only took 1 hour to remove and load on our truck. Access was from the rear of the property next to a garage block and quite a long walk down a lengthy garden. We removed the entire contents which included a 3 piece suite, tumble drier, refrigerator, washing machine, wall unit, 2 wardrobes and a nearly new leather reclining chair which we had promised to an elderly lady with walking difficulties. The whole job took 6 hours and Mr Powell and his sister were happy to have their property ready to hand over to the estate agent for sale.
