House Clearance Advice – Jeffrey Avery Explains – “How Does House Clearance Work”

May 29, 2012 By Avery Associates

How Does House Clearance Work

As a busy house clearance company carrying out house clearances on a daily basis in London throughout the UK we are familiar with all issues related to clearing a property of furniture and effects. You may be confused at the thought of clearing the property and probably in this position for the first time. It’s understandable if you have no idea of the process and we often get asked the following question – How does house clearance work ?

Don’t Worry Its Quite A Simple Process

There is no need to worry unduly and this article will explain how easy the process is – We find that our well planned approach and preparation lightens the burden for our clients, removing any concerns about the handling of their families personal belongings. The house clearance could be for a number of reasons as the occupant may be downsizing, relocating to a care home, going abroad or sadly they may have passed on. In all cases we approach the house clearance in the same way.

Understanding Your Circumstances

We will listen to your circumstances and requirements then suggest a plan of action and provide you with a quotation for such work. Our prices are fair but above all, our work is carried out to the highest standards. The house clearance can normally be carried out within 48 hours of an enquiry and completed in one working day unless the property is subject to extreme hoarding or is cluttered, and in this case it may take longer.

Taking Care Of All Aspects

Because we take care of all aspects of the job you are not expected to do anything other than put aside any personal items for retention, we suggest that you work through each room putting saved items in one corner with a small note to that effect. You will not be required to empty any of the wardrobes of clothing, the drawers and cupboards should be left intact and all other effects should be left where they are. By leaving the furniture and effects just as they are we are able to carry out our recycling much easier. Please try not to put things in black bags as we have to open them again to seperate things that go to different places for regeneration.

A Well Planned House Clearance

Upon arrival we will proceed to methodically clear the house room by room recycling as we go, at the same time checking for personal items and photos that you may have overlooked. Any furniture that has to be moved to another location will be loaded onto a separate vehicle then dispatched. Finally when all items have been removed, into our closed in vehicles our staff will hoover the house from top to bottom leaving it clean and tidy, ready for sale, transfer back to the council, or private landlord –  We clear houses efficiently for our clients on a daily basis and we can assure you of our best attention at all times – This article was written by Jeffrey Avery M.D.

Our House Clearance Services

We provide a full house clearance and property management solution:

  • We clear hoarded houses, regardless how big or how cluttered
  • We clear all types and sizes of property, irrespective of location, or access is restricted or where parking is difficult or not available.
  • We can help avoid water damage by draining the central heating system.
  • We can secure the property and change the locks.
  • We can reinstate the gardens and maintain them whilst the property is empty.
  • We can provide 24 hour security to eliminate the risk of squatting or unlawful occupation.

As well normal house clearances we specialise in clutter clearance and we can clear a hoarded house which may contain years of accumulated possessions, or which have abnormal amounts of general household items, sometimes as a result of compulsive hoarding syndrome.

Equally we can help to clear a property where the occupants were previously unwell and unable to care for themselves or their property which sometimes results in insanitary, dangerous or just plain unpleasant conditions.
