Clearing Hoarded Houses in Buckinghamshire – Challenging Trash

October 22, 2021 By Avery Associates

I’m never happier than when I get calls to assist with clearing hoarded houses in Buckinghamshire, in the heart of England. Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire all have their charms, but being on the fringe of Greater London could put it ahead of the rest.

The history of this lovely home county goes back to the Celtic Britons and the invading Romans, to the dawn of our lovely land. However, the name ‘Buckinghamshire’ is a young 800 years old, and recalls the Anglo Saxon landowner Bucca who settled there.

It is a crying shame a few local thugs find it necessary to fly tip on street corners, and in country lanes in this lovely part of England. The Local Council advises ‘On average more than one fly-tipper is caught, and convicted every week in Buckinghamshire’. I greatly appreciate all the hard work they do to stamp out this scourge.

If you see anybody dumping waste there, please do contact the Buckinghamshire Council by using their handy website portal. It is most important to note down the offending vehicle details if you are able obtain these safely. The Council will then prosecute if they can, because, as they say ‘this tough stance helps deter future dumping’.

However, if the fly tipping is on private land, then you need to speak to the landowner. This is a consequence of us insisting on being ‘kings of our own castles’. If the dumping persists and it’s in the public eye, the Council could try to take it further.

Clearing Hoarded Houses in Buckinghamshire by Dumping

Many of the fly tipping sites in Bucks are littered with household waste. Quite why people do this is a mystery, with so many recycling pick-up points conveniently nearby. The tragedy is many of those dumped materials are made-for-recycling nowadays. Recycling uses less energy than harvesting new materials from nature, and saves on global warming too.

The photo of the mattress highlights the crass stupidity of fly tipping. It could have gone to a charity shop, and helped a poor person out but now it is ruined. This is not the right way to clear hoarded houses in Buckinghamshire. It’s a vote for environmental chaos. We can’t allow this to continue!

Avery Associates uplifts your problems and takes them away, if you have a house, flat, or room that needs emptying. We liaise with local Councils wherever necessary in our constant endeavour to do things properly. You should be able to sleep peacefully at night, knowing the possessions are enjoying a second life legitimately.

It Is Criminal Offence to Fly Tip in Buckinghamshire

The UK Environmental Protection Act of 1990 (EPA) governs dumping throughout Britain, and gives Councils authority to prosecute. This is a very important instrument in the fight to preserve our country’s open spaces for the next generation, in the state that we receive them.

The law defines illegal dumping as ‘Depositing, knowingly causing or knowingly permitting the deposit of controlled waste or extractive waste on land without, or other than in accordance with, an environmental permit’ and this can lead to a criminal record.

A Council may issue a series of criminal warnings, and formal cautions leading to prosecutions. The official Buckinghamshire website includes a link to a seizure notice of a crew cab tipper truck seized by their fly tipping enforcement team. And why not, when their Council could have sent a truck around to their home or business and taken the stuff for recycling.
