The Importance of Deep Cleaning Following a House Clearance

November 19, 2011 By Avery Associates

Jeffrey Avery & Associates are London house clearance specialists and when we are called to a house clearance we are often confronted with a property in need of a good clean. Although our main job is to clear away the contents and dispose of the items carefully and responsibly, we also provide a deep cleaning service as an extra option.

There are a number of situations when a deep clean might be recommended, including:

  • When the property was inhabited by an occupant who was ill – if the previous occupant of the property was ill then this might have prevented them from cleaning it up properly and it can often get into a bad state as a result, leading to all sorts of problems.
  • Hoarding – properties can be left in a terrible state without receiving any cleaning for years when there is a problem with compulsive hoarding. This can cause serious health problems and a deep clean is often essential in such situations.

Make Your Property Easier to Sell

If you want to sell a property, it hardly gives a good impression if it is filthy. Indeed, this will make it a lot harder to shift. Our advice to anyone organising a house clearance where the property is in a bad condition is to follow up the clearance with a deep clean.

This will get the property looking like new and smelling fresh once again, and you also have a much better chance of convincing potential buyers to part with their cash. Even if you are not planning on selling the property, if someone is planning to live in it then it could be a very good idea to get it cleaned following the clearance.

What Do We Clean?

When it comes to a deep clean, we make sure that we go over everything. We team up with professional cleaners who get into every crevice, crack and corner so that all the carpets, walls and contaminated rooms are dealt with. No matter what condition the property is in, we make use of heavy-duty equipment and professional cleaning methods to make sure it is completely clean by the time we’ve finished with it.

Take Advantage of Our Cleaning Service

Health problems can often be caused by a property in need of a clean. Not only will a deep clean make sure that the property is more pleasant for the next occupant, but it will also make it safer. Dangerous bacteria can become present if the property has not been cleaned over the months and years, so make sure you get your property a deep clean for the next occupants following your house clearance.

Our House Clearance Services

We provide a full house clearance and property management solution:

  • We clear hoarded houses, regardless how big or how cluttered
  • We clear all types and sizes of property, irrespective of location, or access is restricted or where parking is difficult or not available.
  • We can help avoid water damage by draining the central heating system.
  • We can secure the property and change the locks.
  • We can reinstate the gardens and maintain them whilst the property is empty.
  • We can provide 24 hour security to eliminate the risk of squatting or unlawful occupation.

As well normal house clearances we specialise in clutter clearance and we can clear a hoarded house which may contain years of accumulated possessions, or which have abnormal amounts of general household items, sometimes as a result of compulsive hoarding syndrome.

Equally we can help to clear a property where the occupants were previously unwell and unable to care for themselves or their property which sometimes results in insanitary, dangerous or just plain unpleasant conditions.
