This large house had been unoccupied for a number of years when the owner purchased it at auction. Much of the interior was in a very bad condition, but before he could bring in the builders he needed to clear all of the old furniture which had accumulated over the years. The large garden also required clearing because it had been used to store various building materials, a motorbike, a shed full of tools and among other things a trampoline.
Clearance Requirements
The simple instruction for this property and garden clearance was that if it was not fixed to a floor or wall then remove it. That included any loose shelves and units which were falling apart. Essentially, the owner wanted it to be completely clear of all items so that he could hire in some builders to repair the property, renovate and decorate it so that it would be fit to live in once again.
Disposal of Contents
We were able to recycle many of the items that we removed from the house and garden. There were a few items that were still in good enough condition to be reused, and the rest was sent to landfill.
