Clearance Overview
This job involved clearing out a very small flat which contained a large number of items and relocating the clients to a new property. It was owned by an elderly couple who were moving house, but before they moved they wanted to clear out all of the items that they no longer needed. They had marked all of the items to keep, and once we had cleared the property we were to transport the furniture and effects to the new address.
The lift in the building was working, but it was very small. However, seeing as the flat was only on the second floor carried the majority of the items down the stairs. We applied special floor covering to protect the stair and communal carpets and vacuumed thoroughly upon completion which attracted no extra cost to the client
Clearance Requirements
The main requirement was to keep all of the marked items at one end of the living room and to clear all of the rest. The couple wanted to be there for the clearance to help instruct the team in case they saw something that they wanted to keep but had not marked. These cases can be tricky because everything has to be sorted and sometimes things can get forgotten or thrown away by mistake, but we are always happy to work with the owners during the clearance and it prevents any mistakes from occurring.
