Clearance Overview
This house clearance involved the removal of furniture and effects from a large property in Walton-on-Thames. The upstairs and downstairs required clearing, and there were also a considerable amount of furniture and junk in the attic which we had to carry down a ladder, but apart from that the work was fairly straight forward. We were fortunate enough to have plenty of space for all the vehicles needed to carry out the house clearance.
Clearance Requirements
The owner was very worried about damage to the fixtures and fittings of the property during the clearance so we had to be very careful when removing the large items of furniture. We removed an upright piano several large tables and large bookcases among other things but managed to get them out without causing any damage at all. Our client was happy with the work and pleased that we managed to remove all furniture and effects without problems.
The owner was concerned about privacy and wanted to keep the items that we were removing hidden, but because we use closed vehicles this was never going to be a problem.
Disposal of Contents
The piano was in a reasonably good condition so we donated it to charity, and there were also some old clothes, books and other belongings that we could also send to a local charity. Everything else was recycled and a very small amount sent to landfill.
