CLEARANCE DATE: 14th November 2012

PROPERTY LOCATION: Rochester Row, Victoria, London, SW1

CLEARANCE TYPE: Full flat clearance

PROPERTY TYPE: 3-bedroom flat

Clearance Requirements

The owner of this third-floor flat on Rochester Row in Victoria, London, SW1, had inherited the property after her parents had passed away. She now wanted to sell the flat, but there were still lots of personal effects and items of furniture inside, so she asked us to firstly remove the personal items and transport them to a storage unit, and secondly to clear out the entire flat of all of the other items.

Clearance Overview

We started the clearance very early at 7.00am and made quick progress clearing out the flat. The owner met us upon arrival and showed us the furniture and effects that she had marked up to be taken to the storage unit. We put these to one side and then we began to remove the furniture and goods from the living room. There was a large sofa and two large chairs in the living room, and we removed these along with a large bookshelf complete with a large collection of books. We cleared out the kitchen entirely, removing the fridge, freezer and electric cooker. In one of the bedrooms there remained a large collection of personal effects, some of which had been marked up to be taken to the storage unit. We cleared out all of the bedrooms and then removed the carpets from every room in the flat. After the flat had been completely cleared, we gave it a light clean throughout, and then the client returned to give us the all clear.

Disposal of Contents

We transported the personal effects that the client wanted to keep to the storage unit on the other side of London. Many of the items of furniture and the other things that we removed from the flat were in a very good condition, so we decided to donate these to charity. Where the goods were not in a suitable condition to be reused we recycled them to prevent too much waste from being sent to landfill.

Client Comments

Our client thanked us very much for carrying out such a professional job. She was especially glad that we could transport some of the items to the storage unit.
