As many of our clients have never dealt with probate or used a house clearance company before, we found that it was helpful to outline a previous house clearance in Soho we carried out recently. This gives new clients some understanding of the clearance process and pricing. If you have any probate requirements or looking to have a house clearance in Soho or surrounding areas then for free advice without obligation, you can call our valuers London Office on 0208 640 0044.
We also carry out property valuation for probate and house contents valuation for probate purposes in the Soho area.
CLEARANCE DATE: 5th November 2012
PROPERTY LOCATION: Wardour Street, Soho, London, W1
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full office clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: Office
Clearance Requirements
Our client for this property was the owner of an open-plan office on
Wardour Street in Soho. The office took up an entire floor, and our client
wanted to clear everything out and replace it with new furniture. He also
asked us to clean the entire property so that he would have greater ease
selling it.
Clearance Overview
We had to obtain a parking permit from Westminster City Council in order to
park outside the building, and the road was very quiet so we did not get in
anyoneÕs way. The office was filled with cabinets, desks, computers,
chairs, shelves and other office equipment and furniture, and it was clear
that it would take most of the day to remove everything.
We made good progress and the team were soon well on their way. Some things
were small enough to be carried down the stairs by one person, but other
items were heavier and had to be removed by two or more people.
In some of the draws of the desks we found paper files, and because these
could have contained confidential information we shredded these before
separating them for recycling.
After removing everything we cleaned the office throughout using our range
of specialist equipment, and we finished the job just ahead of schedule at
7.00pm.
Disposal of Contents
Many of the desks were reusable, and we managed to donate a lot of these to
a local youth centre where they could be used again. We also found new
homes for most of the other furniture that was in a good condition. We
recycled all of the paper documents that we found after they had been
shredded, and as always everything was removed from the property in closed
unmarked vans.
Client Comments
Our client said that the clearance was exactly what he had been hoping for.
He also owns a few other properties throughout London, and he said that he
would be in touch when he required another clearance.
