Clearance Overview
The property was in good condition apart from the fact that it had a serious pest problem. Rats and mice had been detected in many areas of the property, and part of the reason they had formed such a presence was because there were many items of discarded food laying around and plenty of places within the property where they could nest. The owner therefore wanted the entire property cleared and the vermin eradicated.
Clearance Requirements
We were instructed to remove all of the items from the property, but to keep an eye out for any important documents that we found during the clearance. Although the owner was entirely not sure, he thought that some personal documents were located somewhere inside, so we kept an eye out for them.
Following the clearance, our pest control team set about dealing with the rodent problem by laying poison and traps and seeking out nests. As pest control can often be an ongoing job we revisited the property a number of times to make sure the pests had gone for good.
Disposal of Contents
We did not find any of the documents that the owner was looking for during the clearance. All of the items were separated for recycling and reusing, which made up the vast majority, and the few items which could not be reused or recycled were sent to landfill.
