CLEARANCE DATE: 20th November 2011
PROPERTY LOCATION: : Hampstead Lane, Highgate, London, N6
CLEARANCE TYPE: Full House Clearance
PROPERTY TYPE: 5-Bedroom-House
Clearance Requirements
We were asked by our client to clear this large 5-bedroom house on Hampstead Lane just outside the centre of Highgate, London, N6. He had purchased the property at auction, but it was not in a good condition. The previous owner had renovated half the property before stopping work, and now there were lots of piles of broken tiles, bricks, pipes and cables throughout the property that required removing. There were also a few old items of furniture and a couple of old carpets to remove.
Clearance Overview
Although the property had a driveway, half of this was filled up with rubble so we had to work in a limited amount of space, but this was fine because we are used to working with much less space when we clear houses on busy streets.
We began work at 8am and spent the whole day on the clearance. There was a lot of material and rubble to remove, and many items of general household effects and furniture spread through the house. We worked quickly and efficiently and made really good progress, and by lunchtime all of the upper bedrooms had been cleared.
We then cleared the downstairs area and this took the rest of the day before we finished everything at 7pm following a quick clean of the property to leave it tidy.
Disposal of Contents
Most of the contents of this clearance consisted of bricks, rubble and other items that you normally find on a building site. However, we managed to recycle most of what we found rather than sending it to landfill as this is always our policy. There was nothing in the property that was reusable, unfortunately, but we at least prevented most of the cleared contents from being sent to landfill.
Client Comments
Our client was delighted with the results of the clearance and said that he could not believe the difference. He was very excited about decorating the property himself, and thanked us for clearing the property so quickly.
