Clearance Overview
This three-bedroom house also came with a large garden which needed clearing, so it was a job that we knew would take us the best part of a day to complete. Parking was not a problem so we had plenty of space, and the building was away from the road so we did not have to inconvenience any road users. We usually value house contents for probate prior to carrying out a property clearance, but in this case a probate valuation was not required.
Clearance Requirements
The new owner wanted the whole house and garden cleared completely, as well as the garage. There were almost more items in the garden and garage than inside the house itself, and he also warned us that there was a pest problem which he wanted us to deal with following the clearance.
Our staff disconnected the plumbing for the washing machine which is part of our service and does not attract any additional charge.
Disposal of Contents
We spent the day clearing the items first from the garden and then from the property. A couple of the rooms were filled with a large number of items, but some of the rooms only had a few pieces of furniture to clear.
After sending some furniture to a local Cobham charity we cleared and separated items for reuse and recycling. Then we set about dealing with the pest problem. The building and the garden had a quite serious vermin problem, and this became a job which we returned to a number of times to rectify. It is now completely clear of pests so the owner is at present preparing the property for resale.
