Clearance Overview
Sometimes squatters can move into a property and it can be very difficult to get them out due to squatters rights. This particular property in Caversham had been previously, and after the owner had managed to get a court order for their eviction then called us to get rid of all the damaged furniture and effects that the squatters had left behind. We usually value house contents for probate prior to carrying out a property clearance, but in this case a probate valuation was not required.
Clearance Requirements
The owner had been shocked to find his property in such a bad condition after finally managing to get rid of the squatters. It was very dirty and lots of clothing, rubbish and other similar items had been left behind. He asked us to clear out the entire property, give it a deep clean and then secure all of the doors and windows with new locks to prevent any further problems.
Disposal of Contents
We removed all of the items very quickly because there were not many to clear and they were all fairly small and light. The cleaning took longer than the clearance, and after that we spent the rest of the day securing the property to make it safe and protect it from suffering any further incidents. Most of the items were recyclable, but none of them were in a good enough condition to be used again.
