This article describes a house clearance in Hertford we carried out recently of a well furnished three bedroom property. It was a well maintained property and much like any other house clearance. Hertfordshire has become a very busy area for house sales and our client had sold his house and was moving to South Carolina.
After taking instructions we arrived at the property in Bramfield Road, Hertford SG14 at 7am. I got the guys to make up 30 boxes for packing the kitchen items bric-a-brac and smalls. While they were doing that i worked from room to room seperating clothing smalls and other items for recycling and at the same time grading the furniture between resale and charity. The guys were now ready and started packing and wrapping smalls while 2 more of the team removed furniture to the vans. One van was packed with boxes and the other with furniture. The attic had a few suitcases, a number of boxes containing books and a dismantled glass chandelier.
We cleared the kitchen of all food and kitchenalia, including the appliances, along with all sundry items in the adjoining utility room. A small 3 piece cane suite along with a few pot plants were taken from the conservatory, and the garage and shed were emptied of tools, mower, car accessories and general rubbish then swept and left void.
Finally we gave the property a good hoover from top to bottom, checked that all windows were locked and secure then called our client to come and collect the keys. Our client returned and thanked us for the job and explained how it had been quite emotional for him after having lived in the house for over 40 years and that it had a lot of memories.
