Two Bedroom Flat Clearance In Enfield
Our client called to say that he needed a house clearance in Enfield coentre due to his his mother sadly passing away, so he needed to get her 2 bedroom council flat cleared of its contents and a car removed asap and handed back to the council to avoid ongoing rent payments.The flat was on the 2nd floor without a lift in a council block situated in Enfield. We agreed a price and arrived on the 15th November to meet the client and his brother. He left us the keys to the flat and garage and we agreed to call him om his mobile when the house clearance was close to completion estimated to be mid afternoon. The job itself was quite normal as far as flat clearances go and had a good amount of re-useable items within. The flat was clean and tidy so there was no need for a deep clean afterwards, so my team started clearing the contents while one of the guys came down to the garage with me. We opened the garage door to find a Ford Escort 1600 LX in pristine condition (apart from the layer of dust) with only 26,000 miles on the clock that had not been started for 6 years. I connected a booster pack and was amazed when after only a few cranks of the engine it was up and running perfectly. At that point i thought the car might be salvageable and possibly made roadworthy again, but when i tried driver it from the garage soon realised that the brakes were seized and the power steering was leaking, so we immediately arranged for its removal on our car trailer.
We started the job at 8am and it was at 3pm that i called the client to return, check the job and take the keys back. The client was completely satisfied and was soon on his way back home to Portsmouth very happy to be missing the rush hour traffic.
