All contents re-used or recycled when carrying out house clearance, Essex property clearance specialists Avery Associates lead the way.
During a house clearance in Epping, Essex that we were called to a few weeks ago, we were presented with a large amount of house clearance contents, of which the majority we were able to recycle. This is what we always try to do rather than sending things to landfill.
We always try to do as much recycling as possible when we clear a house in Essex, and we recently carried out a property clearance in Epping where we were able to recycle nearly all of the household furniture and effects.
This particular Epping house clearance was a large job which took us a whole day to carry out, and involved a team of 5 men. You never know quite what you are going to find in any property, and this property looked quite normal from the outside. It was a large semi-detached 3-bedroom house in a quiet area of Epping, and it obviously had not been inhabited for a while judging from the condition of the front garden and general condition.
Inside, we were confronted with a vast amount of what on the face of it looked like junk. Cardboard boxes filled with magazines, old wooden picture frames, plastic tubs and a whole range of standard brick-a-brack.
It can be quite easy just to simply determine everything as junk and throw it away, but instead we sorted through all of the items, knowing that most of them could be separated out.
Cardboard, plastic, metal, glass and other materials are all ideal for recycling, and with our processes in place we can easily separate all of the items and send them off for recycling without it making the job take any longer than necessary.
This house, like many other properties we encounter, was left in a condition which may have led other people to think that it just needed to be cleared from top to bottom without any care for where the contents went.
But that is not what we do, and instead we went through each room in turn, carefully removing and then sorting the items so that rather than just a house clearance, this job became a way for us to help the environment at the same time.
There were some items which were impossible to recycle, but these were luckily a minority. On top of the items for recycling, we also found a number of items which could be used again, and we partner with various charities to ensure that nothing is wasted.
All in all, it was a very satisfactory house clearance, and it made us feel good knowing that not only did we provide a service to our customer, but we also did something good for the environment at the same time.
