This was a West Sussex house clearance for Mr Dowsett who’s father had sadly passed away just before Christmas and had been living alone in the property. Gary called us on the 28th December to explain his situation, and that he had to clear the property by the 4th January, to allow access for a firm of builders who were going to completely refurbish the house. Mr Dowsett had managed to clear quite a large amount of the contents leaving only the larger items of furniture, the 3 piece suite a wall unit, 2 double beds, some appliances and general kitchenalia and the contents of 2 tool sheds. We agreed a price and I turned up as arranged on the 4th at 7am with my assistant. We worked together separating then loading on our luton van the items we chosen for recycling and charity, then prepared the remaining contents for house clearance by our main team who were on the way in the furniture truck, just 1 hour behind us. The other guys arrived on time and I handed over the door keys explained what needed to be done then left it in their capable hands while I set off back to the depot to unload the truck. The main team finished clearing the property completely, hovered from top to bottom and swept the sheds and footpaths. I rang Gary who was waiting with friends locally and by 3pm he was locking the door and on his way home, quite relieved to see the property completely cleared.
