A four bedroom house clearance in Cambridgshire CB1 – Details of a recent Cambridge house clearance by Avery Associates
On 10/3/2012 we arrived at the property in Burleigh Street Cambridge Cb1 after taking instructions from a local estate agent. The key-holder who was acting on behalf of an overseas client met us at the house just after 8am and left us to get on with the job. This house clearance in Cambridgeshire was of a property comprising of four bedrooms, attic room, conservatory and outhouse.
We quickly made up boxes and started packing smalls and useful items for recycling and charity, at the same time i made my way around the house pointing out items of furniture for the guys to take to the van. Any furniture with no life left or without fire tags was taken to a second vehicle for recycling, along with general rubbish, debris and all residual content.
The beds were non compliant and had the old metal frames, from the 1950,s with a matching dressing table, chest and wardrobe. The kitchen had 3 appliances including an electric cooker which we disconnected and isolated at the wall. The smalls and contents from the kitchen living room and bedrooms filled around 35 boxes and we managed to fill 20 bags with clothing and shoes.
We were able to re-use or recycle the majority of the contents and found a good home for most of the furniture. Its always satisfying not only for the customer but for us as a company to give new life to household furniture and effects.
Finally the estate agent returned at 5 pm to collect the keys and put up the for sale sign, ready to go on the market.
