We were recently contacted by a lady client from Vancouver, Canada who had been recommended to us by an old customer and in need of a total house clearance of her uncles flat in Brondesbury Park near Kensal Rise North West London. Sadly our client had a young brother who was due to have a major operation for a tumor on the brain and she needed to raise as much money as possible for the operation as well as money for the care home. So we were happy to get the large Nikon lens into auction with a reserve of £2000 along with a fine bronze clock at £600, and a leather chesterfield sofa and walnut dining table at £1000. The remainder of the house contents were cleared and a good allowance was made for the resalable items which reduced the final labour fee for the house clearance an rubbish disposal costs.
Private Collector
Two weeks after the house clearance the auctioneers handling the antique sales introduced me to a private collector who ended up buying the entire collection of photographic slides for a large sum of money. This was a wonderful outcome and the money went a long way towards the cost of surgery and care home fees. The client was extremely happy with the way things went and could not thank us enough.
