House Clearance In Bowie, Maryland, USA And Relocation
After careful planning between our Maryland and London offices we organised a partial house clearance and relocation of household furniture and personal effects for an old customer of ours, Miss Adetoun Balogun. A small amount of the furniture was to be cleared and recycled locally in our Baltimore store and the remainder was to be packed and shipped back to Miss Baloguns three bedroom property in Tooting, South West London SW17, and as Miss Balogun was a close friend i flew down to Washington to organise the job personally and incorporate a small holiday break away from the UK and catch up with staff in our Maryland branch.
A Straight Forward Job
Unlike the removal vehicles we use in the UK our removals trucks in USA are considerably larger “just like everything in USA” as we all know, our truck swallowed the house clearance furniture and effects with over three quarters of the vehicle still empty. The remainder of the work was left for the next day and we took the opportunity to visit The Library Of Congress in Washington DC later in the day, a building which is considered to be one the most impressive architectural structures in all of the USA.
Packing And Shipping Back To London
The following day we arrived early and fresh coffee was waiting upon our arrival, so after a good caffeine shot we got straight to work carefully “export” packing the furniture and personal belongings for our client ready for shipment back to South West London. Particular care was taken with the soft furnishings and especially the antique furniture which was double wrapped and reinforced on all corners with double thick 5 ply cardboard packing and corner guards.
Arrival Of Shipment In The UK
Eight weeks later we were happy to receive the shipment of Miss Balogun’s furniture in the UK and within 24 hours of collection at the docks she had her furniture and personal effects delivered in perfect condition and placed carefully into her home in South West London.
