“Cant Stop” – Channel 5 Documentary
In November 2013 we received a call from Zac Sebastian at Crackit Productions, who asked me if i could make a trip to Cardiff with my house clearance team and participate in a documentary called “Cant Stop” that is going to be aired on Channel 5 on 17th February 2014 at 10pm helping Ron and his daughter clear out his hoarded house.
Cardiff Man Breaks His Back While Cutting Tree Down
A couple of months earlier Ron had been single handed and 20 Feet up a ladder in the back garden cutting a tree – “not a good idea at 70 years of age” – and subsequently fell to break his back and end up in a full body brace.
Hoarding Problem Uncovered
It wasn’t until Ron had his accident that the true extent of his hoarding problem became apparent when his daughter visited his home which up until then was always closed to family and out of bounds for one reason or another.
Clearing Out The Clutter
Ron’s daughter had also contacted me after reading on my website that we specialise in helping hoarders and clearing hoarded houses. She explained the situation and what was needed to make her fathers living conditions safe enough for him to get around the house without tripping and damaging his back even more and decided to employ our dedicated hoarded house clearance services to clear out Ron’s hoarded house.
Long Awaited Christmas Family Reunion
Another important reason for the clutter clearing was so that Ron’s daughter and his grandchildren who had never been inside Ron’s home due to the sheer volume of hoarded possessions would be be able to spend some time with Ron in his home over the Christmas period.
A Satisfactory Conclusion
We coordinated the work with the film crew, Ron and his daughter and arrived at Ron’s house in Cardiff in late November. The house clearance work took place over 2 days and went perfectly to plan. The whole team, Ron’s family and the film crew were all extremely happy with the end result.
