We recently carried out a full house clearance in Amersham. We have carried out many house clearances in Buckinghamshire over the years, but this was one of the most interesting house clearances we have undertaken, as the past occupant and his father were vintage car enthusiasts. Their enthusiasm became so much that over a period of 30 years they collected over 25 vintage cars.
On my first visit to the property the daughter showed me around the house and garages where i saw 5 of the cars and a multitude of spare parts, i mentioned to her that there was a large amount of things to clear and it was at that point she said “this is just the start, the majority of the cars and car parts are in a stable at the bottom of the garden”. We proceeded down a small track to the stables and together unlocked and opened a set of three doors to expose another 25 cars that dated from the 1920’s onwards, each car carefully listed in a log. We arranged for the cars to be auctioned on site and cleared all of the residual items over a period of 4 days, and our client was very happy to receive her father’s property back in a condition that was ready to put on the market for sale with a local estate agent.
