Huge Arsenal Of Shotgun Cartridges Found In Hornchurch House
During a recent Essex house clearance of furniture and effects at a location in Hornchurch, Avery Associates discovered a large cache of shotgun cartridges. Avery Associates have carried out house clearance in Aveley, Basildon, Billericay, Braintree, Brentwood and Bulphan but it was during a house contents clearance in Hornchurch the the live “ammo” was found The cartridges were scattered in locations all over the property in large numbers and filled a sack to the brim. The material was handled with extreme care and handed back to the police immediately by the client.
Licensed Shotgun Owner
Before his death the property owner had been a licensed gun holder and owned a number of heavy gauge shotguns including 12 bore models. The guns were taken quickly by the police who visited the property soon after the gentleman’s death and a few days before we arrived to carry out the house clearance. Despite the police having carried out a thorough search we still managed to find a large number of live cartridges during the clearance of this very cluttered property.
Cluttered And Dirty
The house clearance in this case was substantial due to the fact that it was extremely cluttered with over 50 years of family possessions within. The original Victorian cast iron bath was still in a small room untouched even though there had been a new bathroom fitted in the 1980’s, as it was too heavy to remove by the client.
Clearance Of The House Contents
We carried out our instructions and cleared the entire property of all its contents including the cast iron bath along with 5 fridge freezers. The clearance took two days due to the vast amount of material to be removed. Pictures of this house clearance can be seen in our photo gallery. As this property was going back to the landlord for redevelopment we were only asked to sweep the floors.
